    • CAZAUX CHEESES: THE AUTHENTICITY OF THE PYRENEES ON YOUR PLATE

      A must-visit artisanal cheese shop in Arrens-Marsous

In the heart of the magnificent Val d'Azun, in Arrens-Marsous, Fromages Cazaux passionately perpetuates the traditional craft of farmstead cheesemaking in the Hautes-Pyrénées. Here, cows and sheep graze on mountain pastures before their milk is processed directly on the farm. This artisanal work results in delicious Pyrenean cheeses, generous, fragrant, and full of character.

Upon entering this family farm, you'll discover a warm and authentic atmosphere. The cow's, sheep's, and mixed cheeses immediately captivate with their unique flavors and quality. Whether for a convivial raclette, a gourmet cheese board, or simply the pleasure of a good mountain cheese during a picnic, it's impossible to leave empty-handed.

A GOURMET STOP IN THE HEART OF THE VAL D'AZUN

Local flavors that smell of the mountains

At Ferme Cazaux, every product reflects the soul of the Pyrenees. Thanks to the natural meadows of the Val d'Azun, the cheeses develop an authentic, fruity, and generous flavor. In every bite, you'll find all the richness of the Pyrenean terroir and the expertise of local producers.

Direct sales at the farm also offer a truly gourmet experience. You can chat with Baptiste and his family, learn about their work, and enjoy a warm and friendly welcome. During certain periods, tours even allow you to observe the production process and the aging cellars. (By appointment - information below)

A MUST-SEE ADDRESS FOR CHEESE LOVERS

The pleasure of buying real farm cheese from the Pyrenees

If you're looking for a good place to buy cheese in the Hautes-Pyrénées, Fromages Cazaux is a must-visit. With its artisanal quality, local products, and exceptional setting, this farm appeals to both locals and visitors to the Pyrenees.

Before heading back, we made our way to the Col du Soulor. It was hard to resist a beautifully aged tomme or a sheep's cheese with a more intense flavor. Buying directly from the farm also means supporting mountain agriculture that cherishes tradition and authenticity. It's the perfect gourmet stop to take home a delicious souvenir of the Pyrenees.
