    • Located in the heart of the mountains, the Pyrenees Animal Park is home to around 100 different species and nearly 500 animals spread over 14 hectares of nature.

The park offers optimal living conditions for the emblematic species of the Pyrenees (brown bears, wolves, marmots, ibex, etc.), but also for species from completely different horizons (red panda, lemurs, gibbons, etc.).

Moreover, the Pyrenees Animal Park is now one of the largest semi-free animal parks in Europe. This place of conservation and protection works to safeguard endangered species and welcomes many births and new species each year. This 2023 season, you will be able to come and meet bat-eared bats, bush dogs or even splendid colorful birds in the heart of the immersive aviaries.

Possibility of sleeping on site in the three ecolodges (bears, black wolves, gray wolves, etc.) or living the experience of being a keeper for a day close to the animals.

Immerse yourself in the local flora and fauna in this park nestled in the forest of the Col du Portillon. A warm welcome and a wonderful experience; I return every time I'm in the area.

While passing through the region during our vacation, we stumbled upon this animal park quite by chance... and honestly, what an unexpected delight! We weren't sure what to expect when visiting an animal park in winter, but that's precisely what made the experience even more magical. First of all, the animals were surprisingly active (and visible!), which is a welcome change from summer visits where they play hide-and-seek in the bushes during a sweltering nap. Here, they were enjoying the peace and quiet, just like us! The welcome was simple and warm, without fuss, and the setting is very pleasant, well-maintained, with thoughtfully designed enclosures. You can tell that animal welfare is taken seriously, and that's a pleasure to see 😊 Price-wise, it's good value for money: we spent the whole day there without pushing ourselves!

Awesome day out. Animals looked healthy, some of the areas smaller than would expect and some of the English translations are a bit off but a really fun day out.
