    • Connivence, a traditional restaurant to discover in the heart of Comminges

Escape for a moment, La Connivence offers you a delicious green interlude at the bend of a village, in a privileged setting. Located on Chemin Ample, a place called "Les Acors" in Valentine, 1 hour from Toulouse, it welcomes you all year round for lunch and dinner on the edge of the forest. Peace, nature, and serenity are on the agenda, not to mention the delicious cuisine served in a friendly and relaxed atmosphere.

Connivence, a warm restaurant where you can feast. Follow the path to arrive at Connivence, a restaurant that lives up to its name since the dining room and the kitchen work together perfectly to offer you a moment of relaxation facing the forest. Yann in the kitchen, assisted by his father Patrick, offers homemade, simple and generous cuisine to delight your palate. Sit down in a rustic but elegant room with its brick walls and exposed beams, giving an undeniable charm to this vast and bright space. The green terrace, protected from the sun by parasols, is open in summer. With family or friends, Connivence is the perfect restaurant to meet for lunch or dinner, except on Mondays and Tuesdays, when the establishment is closed.

Connivence, local cuisine to taste in Valentine

Taste, flavor, texture, everything is balanced in recipes where each element has its place, a connivance even in the kitchen between all the ingredients. Traditional and gourmet, the recipes evolve with the seasons, made from local products such as duck, farm-raised veal from Comminges, or AOC black pork from Bigorre. The plates reflect the region through essential ingredients such as foie gras (homemade), truffles or ceps which find their place in many dishes. Discover the menus served at lunch (excluding weekends and public holidays), the à la carte menu and the children's menu and order your favorite recipe. At the end of the meal, a homemade dessert is always appreciated with a good coffee, a last touch of indulgence with a breathtaking view of the forest.

A truly wonderful experience at this restaurant! From the moment we arrived, we were greeted with warmth and friendliness. The ingredients are of impeccable quality, beautifully presented on every plate. The presentation is meticulous, down to the smallest detail; you can feel the dedication to quality and the attention given to each customer. A place I wholeheartedly recommend, both for its ambiance and the excellence of its cuisine!

I had the opportunity to dine at La Connivence with my friends, and what a wonderful time it was! Everything was perfect: the warm welcome and the delicious, passionately prepared dishes. I highly recommend it and will definitely be back.

I'm revising my initial review to explain everything properly because this gentleman is making us out to be something we're not. We arrived at 12:35 PM with two children (we had booked two days earlier). The lovely little room was full, but ours was the only one left. We ordered an aperitif, which arrived very quickly, but there was no bread or water on the table. Around 1:00 PM, the waitress took our menus, and I asked for water and bread. Around 1:45 PM, our starters (for the adults) arrived; the children didn't order any. At 2:30 PM, our main courses arrived: nuggets for one of the children (very salty) and duck breast for the other. The mashed potatoes were salty, and the fish was overcooked. We didn't order the dessert from the €45 set menu. (I should also mention that I asked for a snack to keep the children occupied while they waited, and the waitress kindly brought us a slice of foie gras.) All this for 156 euros! When I told the owner that the wait was unacceptable, he replied, "You were the last ones to arrive; it's the same in all restaurants." We should have left for drinks, seeing as several tables hadn't been served... Frankly, we thought we were going to have a good time, given the beautiful setting, the food, and the service. It was a disaster, and to top it off, we ended up going to McDonald's for the hungry children...
