L'Azinat Restaurant – Authentic flavors of the Pyrenean terroir

Created by Renny Aupetit, the Azinat restaurant was born from a strong desire: to showcase traditional Pyrenean cuisine. To bring this project to life, he called upon the couple Najat and Rodolphe Berneron, passionate about gastronomy and local produce, who infuse the place with their expertise and sense of hospitality.

Here, everything is homemade, respecting local produce and family recipes. True to its name, the restaurant features azinat, an emblematic dish of the Ariège region made with cabbage, garden vegetables, and artisanal charcuterie, simmered slowly and gently using traditional methods. The menu also offers convivial specialties perfect for sharing, such as the Couserans cheese fondue or the hunter's fondue, combining wild boar, venison, and roe deer.

In a friendly and welcoming atmosphere, L'Azinat invites you to savor the spirit of the Pyrenees around an authentic table. This sincere and gourmet approach has already been rewarded by the Georgette d'Or Academy – Rising Star award – in the family and traditional cuisine category, a fine recognition for this establishment dedicated to taste, tradition, and the passing down of culinary heritage.

Lunch menu: starter, main course, dessert and coffee €21

Pay-what-you-want menu on Wednesdays (customers set the price they wish to pay themselves, taking into account their financial situation and perceived value).

In the evening, the menu offers starters €5, main courses €16, and desserts €5.

Practical information

Closed annually from January 5th to February 4th. Reopening on February 4th. Opening hours: Wednesday to Saturday (lunch and dinner service) and Sunday lunch.
