As soon as you arrive, you will be immersed in the fascinating world of discovering traces. Depending on your affinities and desire for discovery, you can choose one or more educational workshops such as the molding and interpretation of traces, the visit to the Wolf Cave with its reconstructions of prehistoric animal footprints, the Bone Breaker workshop around birds of prey and the bearded vulture with its small zip line. You can also enter a burrow and imagine the fascinating world of animals that live in burrows or follow the trail of archaeologists and discover the human skull in our rock shelter while learning about archaeological excavations.

Escape Game and Tracker's Trail: Fun Outdoor Adventures in Ariège

Since its opening, Au Pays des Traces has continued to evolve, with new developments.

Among the most recent, we find the escape game "Trapper Mystery", which immerses visitors in an abandoned camp to explore to solve different puzzles... but shh... it's available by reservation!

Another new feature: the entire S of the tracker, which offers total immersion in the discovery of footprints and signs of animal presence. Visitors become real trackers, in an original and sensory activity in the heart of nature. These experiences make the park an ideal destination for a nature outing in Ariège, to be enjoyed with family or friends.

Museum, topiary garden and activities: a lively place in Saint-Lizier, in the Couserans Au Pays des Traces, it is also a museum space dedicated to ichnology, and a topiary art garden on the fauna of the Pyrenees, unique in France. This atypical place allows you to discover the animals and landscapes of the Pyrenees in a different way.

The park also showcases woodworking, with the planing bench and the plane to rediscover traditional techniques, and even make your own spatula.

Throughout the year, numerous events punctuate the life of the park: Trapper Evenings, hosting festivals, children's birthdays, trapper stays or mountain stays based around tracking and resourcefulness, as well as various discovery outings in Ariège.
