Au Pays des Traces invites visitors of all ages to delve into the fascinating world of ichnology, the science of animal tracks. Upon arrival, you will be immersed in the fascinating world of animal track discovery. Depending on your interests and desire for exploration, you can choose one or more educational workshops, such as molding and interpreting tracks, a visit to the Wolf Cave with its reconstructions of prehistoric animal footprints, or the Bone Breaker workshop focusing on birds of prey and the bearded vulture, complete with a small zip line. You can also enter a burrow and imagine the fascinating world of animals that live there, or follow in the footsteps of archaeologists and discover a human skull in our rock shelter while learning about archaeological excavation techniques.

Escape Game and tracker's trail: fun outdoor adventures in Ariège

Since its opening, Au Pays des Traces has continued to evolve, with new facilities.

Among the most recent is the escape game "Trapper Mystery", which plunges visitors into an abandoned camp to explore in order to solve various puzzles... but shh... it's only available by reservation!

Another new feature is the "S" tracker's route, which offers total immersion in the discovery of animal tracks and signs of presence. Visitors become real trackers in this original and sensory activity in the heart of nature. These experiences make the park an ideal destination for a nature outing in Ariège, to enjoy with family or friends.

Museum, topiary garden, and activities: a vibrant place in Saint-Lizier, in the Couserans region. " Au Pays des Traces" (The Land of Traces) also features a museum space dedicated to ichnology and a topiary art garden showcasing Pyrenean fauna, unique in France. This unusual place offers a different way to discover Pyrenean animals and landscapes.

The park also showcases woodworking, highlighting the planing bench and the plane to rediscover traditional techniques, and even make your own spatula.

Throughout the year, numerous events punctuate the life of the park: Trapper Evenings, hosting festivals, children's birthdays, trapper stays or mountain stays focused on tracking and resourcefulness, as well as various discovery outings in Ariège.
