      The commune was served by an old railway line, the line from Lourdes to Pierrefitte-Nestalas.

      Due to its location in the Pyrenees, Pierrefitte-Nestalas offers access to many outdoor activities, such as hiking, skiing (with the proximity of the resort of Cauterets), and other mountain sports.

      It is also located not far from the Donjon des Aigles in Beaucens.
