    • Located in the heart of the mountains, the Animal Park of the Pyrenees is home to around 100 different species and nearly 500 animals spread over 14 hectares of nature.

The park offers optimal living conditions for the emblematic species of the Pyrenees (brown bears, wolves, marmots, ibexes…), but also for species from all other horizons (red pandas, lemurs, gibbons…).

Moreover, the Animal Park of the Pyrenees is now one of the largest animal parks in semi-freedom in Europe. This place of conservation and protection works to safeguard endangered species and welcomes many births and new species every year. This 2023 season, you will be able to come and meet otocyons, bush dogs or even splendid colorful birds in the heart of the immersive aviaries.

Possibility of sleeping on site in the three ecolodges (bears, black wolves, gray wolves…) or living the experience of a day-to-day caretaker as close as possible to the animals.

Amazing. Well worth a visit, in fact it is worth doing a detour just to visit this park. The displays just get better as you walk further around the park. Great range of animals to see and the keepers are really friendly and willing to share their knowledge. All the ones I spoke to had very good English too. The cafe that is half way is very good too. The only area that required a bit of effort was a steep climb to see the mountain type goats, but this path is optional. Not expensive either. I will definitely go again!

Great zoo for kids and adults alike! The visit is divided into a longer path (with quite a high slope, so not recommended to people with limited mobility and very young kids-unless you go with strollers, total duration around 2 hours) and a shorter path (on a less high slope, so quite accessible to everybody, and it takes about 1.5 hours). Restaurants and toilets are both available at the entrance and inside the zoo (midway). You can feed the marmots and birds, which were really awesome. You can rent strollers at the entrance. If you plan to visit more than once within a year, take the annual pass which costs the same as two entrance fees, so it's a really good deal.

We loved this little zoo. There's plenty of different animals and you can see them from pretty close. In particular, we enjoyed lynx, ocelots and wolves.
