Just 5km from Foix , in the heart of the Ariège region, the Forges de Pyrène invite you to discover a fascinating world where traditional crafts come to life. This theme park, nestled in lush greenery at the foot of the Pyrenees, is an immersive experience not to be missed for the whole family.

Before the industrial age, every everyday object was crafted by passionate artisans. The Forges de Pyrène preserve this precious heritage by showcasing over 100 traditional trades, illustrated by an impressive collection of more than 5,000 tools and utensils. Strolling through the Museum of Trades, every corner tells the story of a skill passed down through generations.

Lively and interactive workshops for everyone

From 10 a.m. onwards, enthusiastic instructors lead workshops, allowing children and adults to observe the blacksmith transforming iron, the clog maker crafting shoes, or the basket weaver creating baskets. These immersive experiences spark children's curiosity while reminding adults of traditional crafts.

You will also be able to discover:

Discover the trip hammer forge, a listed historical monument, which testifies to the region's metallurgical activity since 1420. The Iron Museum retraces the epic of iron in Ariège through captivating exhibitions and audiovisual projections.

Les Forges de Pyrène offer a leisure space where children explore the biodiversity of Ariège with Caramel the squirrel.
