Hello, When I presented the pillow, which was stained with urine (I assume, given the color), the managers offered no apology. Fortunately, I had my own pillow. Dead flies covered my mattress and the floor, and some were dying. The manager didn't apologize and instead told me they had sprayed the insecticide before our arrival. In that case, they should sweep and air out the room before the guest arrives. The cleanliness is deplorable. There was dog hair on the chairs and floor of the shared kitchen, as well as on the blanket in the room. I have celiac disease, and I was relegated to this dirty kitchen to eat the toast I had brought for breakfast. I would have liked to sit downstairs with our group of friends and order a hot drink with breakfast, but the woman clearly told us the previous evening, when we asked if she could offer a solution, that I wasn't allowed to eat downstairs and that I had to stay upstairs because it was a buffet. I should point out that this buffet only offered gluten-containing products. What was she afraid of? That I'd eat a baguette or a croissant and get sick? Why didn't she offer me tea and a glass of juice for a few euros instead of speaking to me curtly, relegating me to a dirty kitchen, and forcing the whole group to join me when we would have been much more comfortable in the main dining room? Usually, I'm offered the option of bringing my own bread and having coffee or tea, etc. Of course I would have ordered something, whereas she seemed to think I was going to help myself without paying! It was so strange! Hotel and restaurant owners always offer a solution. But here, the response was icy. I don't understand this rigid, inflexible woman. I've never experienced such a welcome. It was surreal! Anyway, after reading the other comments here, I expect a response from her, certainly some bad faith, but I'll let you appreciate the few pictures that attest to the filth of this accommodation, which reflects the poor welcome from the managers.

Avoid at all costs! The welcome was particularly cold from the moment we arrived, without even a word of welcome. The gîte was in a very poor state of cleanliness: dog hair on the blankets and chairs, numerous cobwebs, dead flies in the bedrooms, and stained furniture. We also encountered a real lack of understanding from the owners. Despite mentioning a gluten allergy, no solution was offered, and the person concerned was excluded from the dining room for breakfast. Rather than listening and seeking a compromise, the owner preferred to justify everything, without ever questioning the organization or maintenance of the property. It's a shame, because the setting could have been pleasant, but the quality of the welcome and the accommodation is clearly subpar. We do not recommend this gîte.

Warning: The manager's response is inappropriate! She's twisting the facts to suit her own purposes. When I asked on the phone how things worked for people with gluten intolerance, she told me there was no problem. That the person could bring their own bread! But once I arrived, she told them to eat upstairs for fear they'd steal her tea! We have never been disrespectful to the managers. And certainly never imposed our way of doing things. It's a complete lie. Unbelievable! Thank you for twisting the facts so skillfully. It's truly masterful! I would never have dared to speak rudely to her husband. It's not in my nature. I don't understand. It seems you're mistaking me for another customer or that you're lying to salvage what you can! Well done, madam! It's unbelievable how you're smearing your customers like this. Just reading your comments is enough to understand that you get defensive as soon as a customer leaves you a bad review. Not once have you asked us if we were satisfied with our service. With that, I'll leave you to your own conscience. I would never dare to lie or disrespect you. Sincerely, My first comment: My husband arrived by bike after booking through Booking.com. The welcome was excellent. He loved it. We've been in the hospitality industry for 8 years in Ariège. So, for my 45th birthday, we booked directly for 9 people. The setting is ideal for hiking. The welcome was cold. One of us, being gluten intolerant, wasn't allowed to have breakfast with us in the dining room. The owner firmly refused, but still allowed us to join our friend in the shared kitchen with our breakfast trays... Why? Completely incomprehensible. We weren't offered gluten-free breakfasts, nor any other alternative. Strange for people who run a restaurant and provide hospitality... It put us off. And the person who is gluten intolerant has never experienced such isolation. Breakfast is a buffet, however, we were refused refills of coffee.... The question I ask myself is: would the service have been different if we had booked through Booking.com? Strengths: the setting. Weaknesses: the service. Flies in the beds. Stains in the sheets. Lack of communication. Instead of listening, the manager is defensive, bordering on aggressive. A shame...
