I was very disappointed by my experience at the Cauterets thermal baths. The water was cold, it was extremely crowded, and there was a lot of disrespect from the other customers. I received persistent comments about my swimsuit, supposedly because it looked like underwear, while at the same time, some people were taking off their clothes in the water without anyone saying a word. Regarding cleanliness, I can perhaps understand a lack of cleaning outside, but not inside the pools, which is unacceptable for an establishment of this type. The sauna and hammam were unbearable: far too cold and, above all, overrun by people constantly going in and out, shouting, as if we were in a water park like Aqualand, and not in a relaxation area. When I reported these problems, which are quite serious in a thermal spa, I was simply told that they couldn't do anything about it. This wasn't my first visit, though: the first time had been extraordinary, which is why I wanted to share this place with others. Unfortunately, this time was a huge disappointment. I won't be going back. A place to avoid, unless you enjoy wasting your money.

I call, they tell me to wait, then hang up on me, and on top of that, it's a real hassle to get a reservation. It's a blatant rip-off, typical of France, but understandable when you have 36,000 skiers bringing in the money in winter like good little pigeons.

One of the three buildings of the Thermes de Cauteret, this Cesar building is especially for ENT, respiratory and rheumatological pathologies.
