  A very friendly and professional team. A true five-star experience, just the way we like them. With in-room breakfast that includes a full British breakfast. That's rare. With staff who seem genuinely happy to work there and take the time to chat. With all the perks a well-mannered guest expects. … I had three perfect days. Thank you ;)

  I was very disappointed with my spa experience this afternoon. I was supposed to spend 3.5 hours relaxing in the hammam, with a scrub, body massage, wrap, and facial. Upon arrival, I was told the hammam was under renovation and therefore inaccessible. Instead, the 30 minutes I had booked were replaced with extra massage time (which is fine, but I already had an hour included in my treatment). I would have appreciated being informed when I booked 10 days in advance (I imagine such a renovation can't be planned overnight, and even if it could, the least they could do is call ahead). Oh well, I figured it wouldn't ruin my experience! Little did I know it would be much worse! Throughout the entire 3-hour treatment, the music stopped every 10 minutes, sometimes even more frequently, which was very disruptive. There were even moments without music, as I imagine the therapist didn't want to stop in the middle of the treatment to turn it back on. During these times, I could hear all the noises from the neighbors. Finally, the most unpleasant thing was that the treatment room was cold throughout, which prevented me from relaxing and enjoying myself. My hands and feet were freezing. The massage therapist apologized for not having a blanket to cover me and for not having enough heat in the room, even though he turned up the thermostat several times. His hands were cold too. At the end of the treatment, he also apologized about the music (without me even mentioning it; I think he was at a loss and tired of constantly turning it back on). Because of all these negative points, I had a very unpleasant experience! The two stars are only for the friendliness of the staff and the beautiful setting of the building. This spa is nowhere near the level of service expected when you pay such a price! I obviously do not recommend it, and I certainly will not be returning. It's unacceptable and practically highway robbery!
