Food lovers will delight in the aromas of roasted chestnuts, chocolates, nougatines, caramels... as well as the famous mulled wine that is a hit every year.

When it comes to gifts, you'll be spoiled for choice with a variety of stalls offering decorative items, clothing, accessories, jewelry, handcrafted creations, games, toys... Everything you need to fill the space under the tree on December 25.

A charity chalet is also open, dedicated to associations.

The magic of Christmas in Toulouse

What would Christmas be without Christmas trees, garlands, traditional carols, and bright decorations? Every year, Toulouse city center is transformed into an incredible wonderland, immersing young and old alike in the magical world of Christmas. With entertainment and illuminations, Toulouse pulls out all the stops for the festive season!

Christmas entertainment

The festivities begin with Christmas parades organized at the end of November and during the holidays, poetic and luminous shows that take over the boulevards and alleys. Of course, the arrival of Santa Claus is the most eagerly awaited event, whether on foot or by carriage, distributing candy, Ho Ho Ho's, and kind words to children who are amazed to meet him. Do you like to have fun? Here are a few ideas:

  • The Christmas tree carousel on Rue Alsace-Lorraine
  • The little train that runs through the Christmas village on Rue du Capitole
  • The Christmas tree maze on Place Saint-Étienne (where you can buy your Christmas tree)

Christmas lights

Did you know that a forest of fir trees takes over Toulouse city center at Christmas? A total of 84 conical trees, each 5 meters tall, sparkle in the city streets, creating a magical atmosphere for visitors and residents alike. Not to mention the six giant fir trees, 8 to 12 meters tall, which tower over Toulouse's famous squares and the square in front of the Basilica of Saint-Sernin. When night falls, the garlands light up, the illuminated ceilings come on, and the decorations are revealed, magnificent sparkling installations that transform Toulouse into a sublime Christmas backdrop.
