    • The Bemberg Foundation is an art museum located in Toulouse, France. It is housed in the Hôtel d'Assézat, a magnificent example of Renaissance architecture.

      The foundation was created by Georges Bemberg, an Argentinian art collector. He bequeathed his collection to the city of Toulouse, with the condition that it be exhibited in the Hôtel d'Assézat.


      Collections

      The foundation houses a vast collection of artworks, spanning from the Renaissance to the 20th century. It is particularly renowned for its collection of paintings from the French Modern School, with works by artists such as Monet, Degas, Matisse and Bonnard.
      It also includes 18th-century Venetian paintings, sculptures and objets d'art.


      Renovation

      After three years of renovation and redevelopment of the spaces, the Bemberg Foundation reopened its doors on February 2, 2024.
      The work has enabled the museography to be modernized while highlighting the architectural framework of the building.
