Domaine la Vallée d'Ax-Vacancéole is an excellent choice for a stay in Ariège. It offers comfortable, well-equipped apartments, perfect for relaxing with family or friends. The residence's biggest advantage is its peaceful, natural setting. The location is very convenient, not far from the village of Ax-les-Thermes and the gondola lift, allowing easy access to the ski slopes or the town center via a 6-minute pedestrian path. All the staff are very friendly and helpful; the reception staff even prepared a binder with information on all the activities available in the surrounding area.

They respond late to emails, answer the phone poorly, arrive late, it's difficult. Eventually, everything is sorted, then the search begins. When you get to the room, you still have to make your own bed. That's really disappointing for a 3-star location. The laminate flooring is sticking up at every seam, and things in the kitchen seem haphazardly thrown together. We booked through Booking.com; the photos there look more atmospheric and recent than the reality. --------------------------------------------------------------------------- Thanks for your response. We booked with comfort and final cleaning! I don't know where you're getting the ECO label. It's ridiculous that we even have to dump the garbage bags down the street ourselves. You call it an apartment, but the refrigerator is practically at the foot of the bed. Because of the noise, we unplugged it. The parking lot is terribly slanted, and it was quite snow-covered and frozen, but very little is being done to make it safe. If you're looking for something cheap, I can imagine this location might be a good option. But if you're looking for something in good condition and clean, look elsewhere.
