      It is one of the oldest churches in Toulouse, built on a Gallo-Roman necropolis dating from the 4th century. It has undergone several phases of construction and transformations over the centuries.

      The church features remains of an early Christian basilica and a pre-Romanesque church in its archaeological crypt.

      It was an important place in Christian life in Toulouse during the Middle Ages.


      Today, it houses a 400-seat auditorium, used by the Toulouse Regional Conservatory, making it an important place in the city's cultural life.

      It has been listed as a historic monument since 1977, and is under the responsibility of the Saint-Raymond Museum in Toulouse.
