    • Camping Le Pyrénéen in Salles-et-Pratviel, open from February to October – a breath of fresh air in Haute-Garonne

A corner of nature to breathe

Just a stone's throw from Bagnères-de-Luchon, Camping Le Pyrénéen is nestled in a quiet corner of Salles-et-Pratviel, in the heart of the Pyrenees. Here, there's no fuss, just the simple pleasure of camping amidst mountains, greenery, and a relaxed atmosphere.

Surrounded by mountain peaks and soothed by the sound of rivers, this three-star family campsite charms with its friendly atmosphere and unspoiled natural setting. It welcomes tents, caravans, and motorhomes, and also offers mobile homes for those who appreciate tranquility without sacrificing comfort.

Everything is designed to make you feel good: clean toilets, a playground, a heated swimming pool and a small snack bar for those with a sweet tooth.

The campsite is also appreciated for its human scale: no holiday factory here, but a place where everyone can relax at their own pace, enjoy the Pyrenean sun, read in the shade of a tree or share a moment around a barbecue.

The spacious, well-defined pitches offer real privacy while retaining that feel of a shared holiday. Ideal for families, hikers, or cyclists passing through who want to take a break surrounded by nature.

      Services designed for relaxing holidays

What people like about Camping Le Pyrénéen is the welcoming atmosphere and the little everyday touches.

A heated swimming pool allows you to cool off after a nice walk.

The children have a blast on the playground while the parents relax on the deckchairs or chat over coffee, and there's even a small common room for the slightly greyer days, to play cards or share a moment in the dry.

For cyclists, motorcyclists or walkers, it is also a perfect base with a secure storage area for equipment and the possibility of leaving early in the morning with a good breakfast.

The campsite has been awarded the Camping Qualité label, proof of its commitment to a warm welcome and regular services.

Animals are allowed, which is always a good point when you want to travel with the whole family.

And above all, it's a dream starting point for exploring the entire Luchon valley and beyond.

Whether you stay for one night or several weeks, Camping Le Pyrénéen leaves a beautiful impression of benevolent simplicity.

All around: landscapes and discoveries in abundance

Within 20 km of the campsite, there are plenty of ideas for outings. To start, head to Bagnères-de-Luchon, the little gem of the region, with its thermal baths, its lively terraces, its cable car which goes up to Superbagnères and its small farmers' markets.

It's also an excellent spot to enjoy a relaxing break after a hike. Walking enthusiasts will find plenty to enjoy with trails for all levels: a family stroll along the banks of the Pique river, a climb to Lake Oô, or a more challenging trek to the Port de Vénasque on the Franco-Spanish border.

The neighbouring villages, such as Saint-Mamet, Cierp-Gaud or Loudenvielle, are worth a visit for their authenticity.

You can find local producers (cheeses, honey, cured meats) and markets where you can stock up on good products.

Thrill-seekers can try paragliding, rafting, or simply explore the glacial cirques and high mountain panoramas surrounding the valley.

Camping Le Pyrénéen has everything to please: a perfect location between calm and activity, simple but well-designed facilities, a natural and family atmosphere, and above all a real immersion in the Pyrenean landscapes.

For those seeking an authentic break, away from the noise and close to what truly matters, this is a sure bet to keep in mind… and to share.

We were three families and in the pool they don't let in with flip-flops and the floor is wooden. most of us got a wood chip into the bottom of our foot. Very strict in general.
