    • MERVILLE CASTLE: A HISTORICAL AND FUN EXPERIENCE ON THE GATES OF TOULOUSE

Located just 20 kilometers from Toulouse, in the heart of the Haute-Garonne region, the Château de Merville is a must-see for history and outdoor adventure enthusiasts. Listed as a historic monument, this 18th-century gem is distinguished by its elegant architecture and its impressive boxwood maze, the largest in Europe. A blend of heritage and entertainment, the Château de Merville offers a unique, immersive experience suitable for all ages.

A unique labyrinth on the theme of Tales and Legends

The Merville Castle labyrinth is certainly impressive in its size, but it also hosts two original and immersive trails. The Enigma trail is a real outdoor escape game and immerses visitors in the magical world of Tales and Legends. Through puzzles inspired by children's favorite characters and cartoons, young and old are invited to solve riddles along the trail's paths, ideal for experiencing a family adventure.

The Dédale trail, meanwhile, is the perfect opportunity to discover everything about the park and the history of the labyrinth, without codes or puzzles this time.

Merville Castle: between heritage, nature and events

Visitors can also explore the castle's interior through guided tours of the state rooms . In 45 minutes, this tour will reveal the secrets of its architecture as well as its various authentic pieces of 18th-century art of living. You will also discover a spectacular view of the park and the boxwood garden of the Merville Labyrinth.

Finally, throughout the year, the Château de Merville hosts numerous themed events: large Easter egg hunts, Venice Carnival, live shows and summer activities punctuate the life of the estate and attract an ever-increasing public.

Merville Castle has established itself as a must-see tourist destination in Haute-Garonne, combining heritage, nature, and leisure activities in an exceptional setting. Whether you're a history buff, a puzzle enthusiast, or looking for a unique outing near Toulouse, every visit to Merville Castle promises an unforgettable experience.

Great Enigma course for children, especially from 8 years old when they are comfortable reading everything themselves. The course and the puzzles are really very well designed, original, relevant and educational... Nothing to complain about, it's great. Allow a good two hours to explore the maze. The little ones (in my case, 4 and 6 years old) also have fun because everything is fun and they can type the codes for example, but it's a bit long for them at the end. A great family outing in any case!

Beautiful setting and well kept Labyrinth/Maze and gardens, however it should be pointed out, that unless you speak & read French it is pointless to visit. There were only guide booklets in French. I...
