    • MERVILLE CASTLE: A HISTORICAL AND FUN EXPERIENCE NEAR TOULOUSE

Located just 20 kilometers from Toulouse, in the heart of the Haute-Garonne region, the Château de Merville is a must-see for history buffs and outdoor adventure enthusiasts alike. A listed historical monument, this 18th-century gem is distinguished by its elegant architecture and its impressive boxwood maze, the largest in Europe. Blending heritage and entertainment, the Château de Merville offers a unique and immersive experience suitable for all ages.

A unique labyrinth themed around Fairy Tales and Legends

The Merville Castle maze is certainly impressive in its size, but it also offers two original and immersive experiences. The Enigma trail is a true outdoor escape game that plunges visitors into the magical world of fairy tales and legends. Through puzzles inspired by children's favorite characters and cartoons, young and old alike are invited to solve riddles along the trail's paths, making it ideal for a family adventure.

The Daedalus trail, meanwhile, is the perfect opportunity to discover everything about the park and the history of the labyrinth, without codes or riddles this time.

Merville Castle: between heritage, nature and events

Visitors can also explore the interior of the château through guided tours of the state rooms. In 45 minutes, this tour will reveal the secrets of its architecture as well as its various authentic rooms showcasing 18th-century living. You will also discover a spectacular view of the park and the boxwood garden of the Merville Labyrinth.

Finally, throughout the year, the Château de Merville hosts numerous themed events : large Easter egg hunts, the Venice Carnival, live shows and summer activities punctuate life on the estate and attract an ever-growing audience.

The Château de Merville has established itself as a must-see tourist destination in Haute-Garonne, blending heritage, nature, and leisure activities in an exceptional setting. Whether you're a history buff, a puzzle enthusiast, or simply looking for a unique outing near Toulouse, every visit to the Château de Merville promises an unforgettable experience.

A magnificent castle and maze, a fantastic weekend themed "Venetian Masked Figures." It truly feels like Venice with its beautiful rustic setting. This privately owned castle is very lively. I attended the Easter weekend in 2024; it was amazing, incredibly well-organized, and now they're even holding competitions! Eggs galore with overflowing baskets, generous rabbits, and incredibly kind and welcoming owners! I come back every year with pleasure. Spending the whole day there allows us to appreciate all its facets.

We spent a delightful and very informative afternoon in the Merville maze. We left with anecdotes and new knowledge about fairy tales. The costumed people added to the charm of a place that already had so much of it.
