Luckily, the cook and the waiter are there to keep things running smoothly because the woman is not someone you can rely on, whether it's for a warm welcome, service, friendliness, or anything else even remotely related to the concept of a restaurant. We arrive, the waiter greets us and seats us. I immediately noticed a group of three people with rather boorish behavior, especially a woman who speaks loudly and acts like she owns the place. Working in that world, I immediately understood that she was the manager. And for good reason: at one point, she addressed the waiter (who was of foreign origin) in a manner reminiscent of cotton workers speaking to slaves, as pleasant as a prison door. She spoke to him loudly from a distance, cigarette in her mouth, phone to her ear, and a well-mixed spritz in hand. The waiter came back to take our aperitif order. We started ordering, and then the manager interrupted us, still from a distance and starting to get a little tipsy, to clarify something about THEIR order. I told her we'd like to finish our order, and that's when I knew it was the manager because, after my initial reaction, she magically started acting like a proper manager. The waiter came back for the rest of the meal (very soon after, I imagine it's part of the general order of service, as is common practice these days). We told him we'd like to finish our aperitif and would take our order afterward. The manager came by shortly after and asked if we were ready, and we reiterated that we'd like to finish our aperitif at our leisure. She said okay, and to avoid any further hassle from the spritz, to let her know when we were ready. All of this happened in less than ten minutes from the moment we sat down. It's starting to add up in such a short time. The rest went well; the meal was good, which surprised the "manager" since my father said he liked it. When it came time to pay, we went inside, a rather cramped space, and she decided to slightly push my father aside to get through without a word of apology or excuse me. She handed us the bill, tossed the card reader aside, turned around, and said, "Good evening," uh, well. To be perfectly clear, the waiter is very friendly and does a good job, but is unfortunately caught in the clutches of this haughty woman. The food was good, and the place isn't too bad, even if, in my opinion, it's nothing like a casual outdoor restaurant. You can reply if you want, but I'm not interested in your response. The manager's behavior is an insult to the profession, and if you have customers, it's simply because you're the only ones in the village with an establishment like this. Golden rule when you own a restaurant: You don't open a business to offer free food and drinks. You don't drink before or during service. You don't speak loudly to employees from a distance in front of everyone. You don't interrupt the server and the customer while they're ordering to talk loudly in front of everyone. And even if a customer seems unpleasant to YOU, that's no reason to hold a grudge. A simple apology could have easily prevented this comment, which you'll most likely report instead of reflecting on your own behavior. The only problem with this establishment is the manager, who clearly has never worked in customer service. When customers arrived around 7:30 pm, she asked if they were going to eat inside. Was she inexperienced or drunk? We'll never know.

A truly wonderful place that I highly recommend 😊 I've had the pleasure of eating there several times and I've always left delighted. The dishes are fresh, homemade, and the menu ideas are excellent and change regularly 👌 The welcome is always warm and friendly; you really feel at home. A place you'll happily return to! 🍽️✨
