The Rex Hotel **** - Tarbes

The Rex Hotel in Tarbes was kind enough to welcome me for a few nights in their establishment. This four-star hotel is located in the city center of Tarbes, near the Place de Verdun, so it is close to all the shops and restaurants as well as many tourist, cultural and historical sites of Tarbes and the Hautes-Pyrénées in general.

An elegant 4* hotel with a designer style

I arrive at the reception where I am particularly well received. The decoration is really very neat, worthy of a four-star hotel, modern, designer, I have nothing to say. The entrance hall has the appearance of a palace with a staircase leading to the first floor (breakfast room), glass elevators and high ceilings. I am given my room number, 307, as well as the wifi code which changes every two days.

I now take the elevator to my room on the third floor. The elevator, completely glazed, lets me see a different decoration on each floor : a grand piano on the first, a very modern bench on the second and seats around a coffee table decorated with a beautiful bouquet of flowers on the third. The lights turn on automatically as I pass, even the ceiling is glazed. The room numbers are indicated by illuminated tubes with a decoration of filaments that are also luminous, I think it's great!! There is not a single fault of taste, I am amazed from start to finish.

Comfortable rooms with quality amenities

My room has a view of a small outdoor courtyard. It is really very spacious, with a very large bed, a desk, seating, a huge wardrobe, a bathroom and a separate toilet. The originality of the room: the entire bathroom is completely glazed. This gives the room a lot of volume and a lot of light ! This bathroom is equipped with a bathtub, a shower and a beautiful sink ! I love it! I see life in a big way, don't I?!

The room is equipped with a fridge with some extra treats, I have always appreciated fridges in the rooms, it allows us to keep our small souvenir commissions safe. There is no outside noise, the rooms are perfectly insulated even though I am in the city center. Television is installed in all rooms with all satellite channels as well as the telephone. It is possible to call the reception to request other services, a snack and cards to have breakfast in the room.

The little extra : A little something is even placed on my bed: delicious chocolates !!

A special welcome at the Rex Hotel Tarbes

This hotel is equipped with a wellness area and a fitness room. These relaxation areas are open to all hotel guests and are completely free. They are accessible from 7 a.m. to 11 p.m., by appointment at reception for massages. The lounge area is, for its part, freely accessible on the first floor. A little massage after a day of work, what could be better!!

After a good night, it's time for breakfast. Bread, pastries, cereals, yogurts, orange juice, coffee, chocolate, teas, hams, cheeses, yogurts, scrambled eggs, local products, cookies, cakes... the hotel delights even the most gourmet, there's something for everyone and for all tastes. It's a real complete breakfast, with quality products ! I love it! The staff is smiling, friendly, always with the little morning phrase that puts you in a good mood! They remember us every morning, we feel like we're at home!

A perfect stay at the Rex Hotel Tarbes

The Rex Hotel also has a restaurant located in an annex building but accessible from the hotel, on the ground floor. It can be nice to sit down and eat there without leaving the hotel if you've had a long day!

It's time to leave! I recommend the Rex Hotel to anyone looking to stay in Tarbes. The setting is superb, the services are more than adequate, and its location is ideal for a pleasant stay. It's a very beautiful hotel that makes us live the life of a palace for one or more nights!! I had excellent nights in this establishment!
