Surnommé le jardin botanique des Pyrénées à juste titre, voici une vallée moins fréquentée, hormis par les GRdistes, c'est un petit joyau riche en flore et faune. Le Couret d’Esquierry marque la « frontière » avec les Hautes-Pyrénées. Dans ce vallon sauvage, il n’est pas rare de voir isards, biches et marmottes.
Attention, zone avalancheuse, ne pas s’y rendre l’hiver.
