Rightly nicknamed the botanical garden of the Pyrenees, this is a valley that is less frequented, apart from by GRdists, and is a little jewel rich in flora and fauna. The Couret d'Esquierry marks the border with the Hautes-Pyrénées. In this wild valley, it's not unusual to see isards, hinds and marmots.
Beware, this is an avalanche-prone area and should not be visited in winter.
