How to go out at night in Toulouse

You want to go out in the evening in Toulouse, but you don't know how? Toulouse is a large city served by two metro lines, a tram and 93 buses. And it all works day and night! If you want to be more ecological, nothing prevents you from renting a self-service bicycle made available by the town hall: the VélôToulouse.

Car traffic can sometimes be heavy, in the late afternoon and early evening. However, if you want to take your car, be aware that around twenty car parks are available in Toulouse. The city center car parks are located around the Place du Capitole, in particular on the Place Arnaud Bernard, the Place des Carmes or the Allée Jean-Jaurès. easily public transport.

Do we start with a little aperitif?

It is near the Capitole that you have to go to enjoy an aperitif, especially on rue Valade or rue Maury. If you want to change a bit from the traditional bar, here are some bars that stand out:

  • The Fat Cat is a retro bar with a unique atmosphere. Its " thirties " decor will take you back in time.
  • The Avalon Pub & VR gaming is a latest generation game bar. You can learn about virtual reality, before cooling off and enjoying burgers.
  • My doe on the roof is what is called a "Rooftop", a bar restaurant perched on top of a building, to offer you an unobstructed view of the pink city.

Did it whet your appetite? Tasting the specialties of the southwest is therefore one of the essentials. The culinary tradition of the Toulouse region stems from local, gourmet and generous cuisine. Whether you are a big eater or a gourmet, you will find what you are looking for. The good addresses are mainly in the Dupuy district, near the large circle, and near the Saint-Étienne cathedral:

Have fun with friends during an unusual game

Virtual games are all the rage. It must be said that they are very immersive, make you feel extraordinary sensations and share new experiences. Most of the time, they are open until 11 p.m., or even longer on weekends. You will have to book your session in advance anyway, so the times will be indicated to you. Our favorite play areas in Toulouse are:

Take advantage of the Toulouse art scene

Toulouse is classified as a "City of Art and History". Artists of all kinds are well received there and the performance halls are very pleasant. If you like theater and comedy, the Théâtre de la Cité is located on rue Pierre Baudis.

To burst out laughing, don't miss the humorous evening event: “Spring Night”, which takes place every year at the Zenith in Toulouse.

Are you more of a concert person? The Théâtre du Capitole is renowned for its grandiose shows and intense programming. And if you prefer more intimate atmospheres, the bistro-concert on avenue de Muret, "le Bijou", is very friendly and introduces you to new artists of French song.

Party and dance the night away

Toulouse is a young city, where it is impossible to get bored. The trendiest nightclubs are mainly found in the rue du Capitole. There are also a few in the Matabiau district. The one that will surprise you the most is the “Zapata”. This establishment on the Allée des Foulques pulls out all the stops to amaze you, with an atmosphere and decor that is constantly changing.

The night of the museums

A last good plan to end this visit of Toulouse by night. If you are in the region in May, don't miss the "Night of Museums". That evening, some museums remain open until 11 p.m. or midnight and offer entertainment to help you appreciate the places in a different way. Here are the Toulouse museums participating in this event:
