    • The Maison des Consuls, a charming and characterful hotel, has a bar called “Les Raisins de Pyrène”.

      Its particularity is to make you discover the wines of the Pyrenean Piedmont: from the IROULÉGUY of the BASQUE COUNTRY, to the very sunny wines of Collioure, passing by the diversity offered by the JURANÇON, MADIRAN, CÔTES DE GASCOGNE, VIN d'ARIÈGE, MALEPÈRE, CORBIÈRES and CÔTES DU ROUSSILLON, unearthed from small producers in love with their terroir.

      The originality of this selection goes well with a variety of regional product platters (cold meats, foie gras, cheeses, etc.).

      Beer lovers will not be left out with more than 25 references.

      In addition to the hotel bar and its rustic and warm setting, in summer its sunny terrace, under the gaze of medieval sculptures, offers a wide choice of hot and cold drinks in all seasons.

    Barnard and his entire staff were remarkably like family. I was hiking in the region and this was a perfect base from which to explore the region. Bernard offered wise advice that improved the quality of my hikes, as well as where to get great meals in Mirpoix. I can't imagine a better place to stay in Mirpoix.

    Two things to say. First, it's excellent for lunch, nothing to complain about. However, we were turned away several times because they prefer to serve hotel guests. I quote, "too many people at the hotel, so we only serve hotel guests." Note that we sat down, everyone was served. In fact, when they agree to serve us, it's because we're stopgaps, and when they have a few people, well, we're nothing, they turn us away. So, on Mondays, we came for the market and lunch at the same time, so we're going to find another place for lunch. We're spreading the word to everyone we know, by the way, very, very disappointed!
