Nestled in the heart of the Louron Valley, Loudenvielle is a small mountain village with a very rich historical, cultural and natural heritage.

In Loudenvielle, the Arixo, the cinematographic and museographic museum, showcases the valley's heritage, with exhibitions, models, interactive terminals and a presentation of the painted churches. In the 16th century, the Romanesque churches were decorated with frescoes that have retained all their splendor. These include Sainte-Marie Madeleine, Saint-Barthélémy de Mont, Saint Mercurial de Vielle-Louron, Saint Félix-d'Armenteule, Saint Blaise d'Estarvielle.

You can also take a trip to Lake Genos, with an area of 32 hectares, which allows you to practice canoeing, kayaking, sailing or paddleboarding… Its banks are the landing point for hang gliders and paragliders. The lake is also the starting point for many hiking trails, such as Lake Sarrouyes, the Clarabide gorges… You will also not hesitate to experience the well-being of the Balnéa spa center near the lake.

Two kilometers from Loudenvielle, the Saoussas mill, built after the Revolution, has been superbly restored and its millstones still work. A small museum bears witness to the valley's trades.
