    • The Blue Lake is located at an altitude of 1,977m and is 52 hectares in size and 135m deep. It is the deepest lake in the Pyrenees. It is located in the commune of Beaucens, which is right next to Bagnères-de-Bigorre. It is of course its beautiful blue color that gives it its name, but also its green setting.

To get there, you need to walk for 2.5 hours and be in good physical condition. Come well equipped and bring water and snacks. The easiest hike is from Le Chiroulet at 1087m in the Lesponne massif. You cross the bridge, then the winding path that climbs to the plateau where the lake is located.
