The Saint-Vincent church in Bagnères-de-Bigorre is a religious building classified as a historic monument in 1990.

History and architecture

The church was built over several centuries, from the 14th to the 19th century, which explains the diversity of architectural styles present. We can observe Gothic elements, notably on the west facade, and Renaissance elements, notably on the south portal.
Its plan is in the form of a Latin cross, typical of Catholic churches.
The interior is remarkable for its 20 pillars which support the vault and create magnificent keystones.

Remarkable elements

• The stained glass windows depict saints important to the city and scenes from parish life.
• An organ at the back of the nave and some of the Baroque furniture in the church come from the Escaladieu Abbey. These elements also add artistic interest to this historic monument.
