On the heights of Ax-les-Thermes in Ariège, the Ax 3 Domaines winter sports resort, formerly Ax-Bonascre, consists of 36 slopes spread over three ski areas: Bonascre, Saquet and Campels (from the lowest altitude to the highest), with magnificent panoramas of the Pyrénées Ariègeoises. It is possible to stay at the foot of the slopes or to take accommodation in Ax-les-Thermes , thus taking advantage of the thermal spa with its activities, festivities and amenities (regular shuttles between the village and the slopes).
At an altitude of 1390 meters, enjoy the kilometers of slopes, supported by snow cannons. The unspoiled nature of the resort allows you to go cross-country skiing or snowshoe hikes. Ax 3 Domaines is a resort offering many sports activities including speed riding (a mix between skiing and paragliding).
In summer, the completely snow-cleared plateaus offer visitors many hiking trails or routes dedicated to mountain biking. Huts welcome hikers like the one in La Jasse.
