    • The Grand Tourmalet ski resort, which brings together Barèges and La Mongie, invites you to experience XXL skiing.

      Did you know that this resort is the first ski area in the French Pyrenees?

      Here at the Grand Tourmalet ski resort, put on your skis, snowboard or snowscoot and set off to conquer the 100 km of slopes in the area ! You can then ski all day without going to the same place twice, in landscapes each more beautiful than the last... Whether you're a beginner, a cool skier or a seasoned mountaineer, one thing is certain: the magic of skiing works.

      An experience to share

      Mountain activities with your children

      First of all, for the little ones: a daycare center to stay warm.

      The resort has activities for children:

      • Ski schools ;
      • A “ snow garden ”;
      • A fun and secure space ;
      • Many green slopes ;
      • A dedicated toboggan run .

      To ski with the whole family

      The Marmotte route is 11 km of family fun on a 100% blue and green slope route that connects the Barèges resort to that of La Mongie. Many blue slopes are accessible for family descents to share the pleasure of skiing by diversifying the routes.

      Skiing, there's no age limit to start

      With the N'PY Flex card, the ideal card for beginners, make learning to ski easier with this pass that automatically adjusts the pricing depending on the ski lifts you use!

      For lovers of pure sensations

      Skiing at the Grand Tourmalet

      Ski in the forest above Barèges, surrounded by nature and sheltered from the wind . Super pleasant in all weather! Have you ever dreamed of making your first tracks in the snow? By simply registering, you can attend the opening of the Grand Tourmalet ski resort with the ski patrol.

      The Freeriders' ski resort

      It is worth highlighting the presence of rider slopes, where the powder is deliberately left so that everyone can discover the sensations of lightness, voluptuousness and softness that it provokes. At the Grand Tourmalet, high-flying riders will find breathtaking off-piste areas : the Aygues Cluses valley and its breathtaking view of the Néouvielle massif is the best known, but there are many others... To conclude, direct access to the Pic du Midi freeride area is from La Mongie: a unique spot in the world !

      Equipment designed for freestylers

      1 freestyle area with a beautiful snowpark : boxes, rails, and modules for jumping in all directions. Total bliss!

      Find it on the Guide Toulouse Pyrénées's Blog...

    The restaurants are very expensive, as are the activities. I was disappointed, I thought the mountains were accessible. Now, if you want to go on vacation, plan on spending a lot of money. For a mountain bike reservation for 4 people, a €4,000 deposit is like living in another world.
