    • The Piau Engaly winter sports resort, 20 km from Saint-Lary in the Aure Valley, is one of the highest resorts of the Pyrenees, it is also one of the snowiest. Its panoramas are breathtaking! Crowned with natural parks, it offers a ski area of great beauty with varied routes over more than 100 hectares. There is something for everyone, with a beautiful alpine ski area, special slopes for freestyle and snowboarding, marked routes for snowshoeing. Note that thanks to the tunnel to Spain, the Bielsa Valley is not very far!

One interesting thing to note for families and those for whom peace and surroundings are as important as the slopes: the resort is entirely pedestrianized. There are also free shuttles to run all day to the amenities.

Go to the official website of Piau Angaly station, which is operated by N’Py.

One of the best resorts in the Pyrenees. But the big downside is that the detachable (main chairlift of the resort which goes to the top) has been broken down for around ten days. Supposedly not repairable straight away… why not but it seems weird. Rather a lack of motivation to keep the resort open (as a reminder, it closed at the beginning of April last year even though it was one of the snowiest resorts). Maybe we need to change the direction if it bothers them…
