  The campsite is beautifully situated on the Gave de Pau River (where rafting is offered). No traffic noise. The sound of the river makes it difficult to hear the air conditioning units on the roofs of motorhomes – energy waste/pollution par excellence! We occupied the (very large) pitch no. 47 (estimated at 100 m²) at the end of the campsite, a very good shaded spot. Electricity hookup available with a 25 m cable. The distance from this (in our opinion the best) pitch (on the campsite) to the restrooms is about 50 m, and to the reception/snack bar/swimming pool is about 300 m. There are (too) few water points and (too) few electrical hookups spread across the long campsite (in other words, very long power cables are sometimes required). Restrooms are cleaned regularly. The water for washing dishes could be hotter. During peak season (July/August), the number of showers is particularly limited. This is also because the campsite is often used for holiday camps (camping with young people). The swimming pool is also rather small during peak season (partly because residents of the village of Lestelle-Bétharram also have access to the pool). The trails are poorly lit (bring a flashlight). Beautiful bike rides are possible from the campsite, but some of the roads/bike paths are in poor condition (potholes). A freezer (in the washing machine room near the swimming pool) can be used to make ice. Also very positive: a compost bin near the rear sanitary building. A boules court is a short walk outside the campsite (next to the festival hall). Stayed from June 24 to July 20, 2025. If you stay at a campsite for almost four weeks, that's a good sign for the campsite. With the ACSI price (valid until July 6, 2025) and a 10% discount for stays of more than 10 days, the average price was just under €19 – excellent value for money!
