- CAMPING IN THE HAUTES PYRÉNÉES IN THE AURE VALLEY ON A SIDE OF THE COL D'ASPIN
  
  Located in the Aure valley, in the heart of the Hautes-Pyrénées at an altitude of 850m on a mountain slope of the Col d'Aspin, on the banks of the river and 1.8km from the center of the village of Arreau where all the shops are located and 15km from Saint-Lary, CAMPING INTERNATIONAL LE REFUGE offers 100 pitches with rental accommodation on 15ha of mountain.
  
  Mountain campsite on the riverbank, close to the ski resorts of Val Louron, Saint-Lary, Piau Engaly
  The establishment is open year-round to mobile home owners. This campsite is particularly sought after by customers seeking peace and quiet, nature, wide open spaces, mountain sports, and direct access to the river.
  
  In summer, from 01/07 to 31/08 from 8:30 a.m. to 8:00 p.m., the reception is located by the pool. You will find bread, croissants, chocolate croissants, ice cream, coffee, alcoholic and non-alcoholic drinks as well as pizzas, chicken, fries, croque-monsieur and ice packs to refresh.
  
  Evenings: Theme evenings are organized at the restaurant, and balls are held periodically.
  
  On-site activities: swimming pool, table tennis, volleyball, belote competition, pétanque, fishing, outdoor play area for the little ones.

We're cyclists and stayed three nights to ride the mountain passes in the area. Although the campsite is a bit noisy, it didn't bother us at all, and the owner was lovely, making sure we had a pleasant stay. It's true there was one very rude family who, every time they used the toilets, we had to go in and clean them, which the owner very kindly did. Overall, it's an unbeatable place for cycling.

Before coming, I had read some reviews and seen the campsite's rather low rating. Honestly, after staying there, I don't find it at all representative of reality. I had an excellent stay at this campsite located in the heart of the magnificent Louron Valley. The setting is exceptional, with a splendid view of the mountains that invites relaxation. The campsite is perfectly maintained, clean, and very quiet. Direct access to the Neste River is a real plus, as is the swimming pool with its sun loungers and water slide, ideal for cooling off and fully enjoying your stay. The bar and snack bar (paninis, fries, ice cream, etc.) are very welcome and allow you to have a pleasant time on site. A special mention goes to the manager, who is an employee. It's rare to meet an employee who is so dedicated, so professional, and so kind. Always available, attentive, smiling, and ready to help, he manages this campsite with remarkable commitment, as if it were his own. Its high standards of cleanliness, particularly in the kitchen, are exemplary and greatly contribute to the overall quality of the establishment. A campsite where it's wonderful to stop, recharge, and enjoy the beauty of the Louron Valley. I recommend it without hesitation!
