Nestled at the foot of the Pyrenees, and only thirty minutes from Tarbes, this charming, bustling historic town is the ideal summer and winter mountain destination, with its colorful market, street art festival, and surrounding nature perfect for outdoor sports and family outings.

Bagnères-de-Bigorre, a lively city all year round

If there is one day of the week when to visit Bagnères-de-Bigorre, it is undoubtedly Saturday morning, where the market , one of the most beautiful of the department, seizes the old city until 'to the smallest alleyways. Local and organic producers for many of them, artisans and textile sellers offer quality products, at very affordable prices. The market extends into the Halles, Baltard style architecture, where there are other breeders, bakers and market gardeners in the area. It opens all week (Monday, 8h to 13h - Tuesday to Friday, 8h to 13h and 16h to 19h - Saturday, 8h to 19h - Sunday, 8h to 13h).

Our advice? Do like the locals: after your shopping, go taste fresh seafood in one of the stalls of fast food Les Halles. Here we enjoy standing with fingers, listening to the latest gossip in the region!

GOOD PLAN:

In September, the Cartel Bigourdan takes over the city with a varied program adored by young and old alike. Concerts, street performances, games, exhibitions, conferences, bodega spaces with tastings of local products and homemade cuisine—the end of summer is synonymous with festivities! Musical performances also take place at the Bagnères-de-Bigorre market.

Why not a spa treatment in Bagnères-de-Bigorre?

Bagneres-de-Bigorre and the spa, it is a long history since the Romans already exploited the hot springs of the city. Today, we come from all over the world to take care of the Grands Thermes. And they do well because the water that springs from the sources at a natural temperature of 50°C through two boreholes at nearly 200 meters deep, is loaded with trace elements such as sulfate, calcium and magnesium. They give it analgesic, antispasmodic and muscle relaxant properties that work wonders in rheumatology, stress, sleep disorders and respiratory tracts!

To stay, think of Residence des Termes!

But by the way, we also have the right to do good without prescription, you do not believe?
