Place Wilson Gardens, Parks in Toulouse

Place Wilson, more precisely Place du Président-Thomas-Woodrow-Wilson, is an iconic location in the heart of Toulouse. It extends the Allées Jean-Jaurès and connects the center of Toulouse to the Canal du Midi.

It was renamed in 1918 in tribute to Woodrow Wilson, President of the United States, for his role in ending World War I.

Features

It is a very lively meeting place, surrounded by cafes, restaurants and cinemas. In the center of the square, there is a fountain, the Goudouli fountain, and landscaped green spaces, also called the Pierre Goudouli Garden. It is also a nerve center of the city, very popular with both Toulouse residents and tourists.
