Aquensis: Escape to the Bagnères-de-Bigorre thermal spa

Housed in a beautiful period building that once housed the old baths of the city, Aquensis , the Bagnères-de-Bigorre thermal spa is the ideal place to enjoy a few hours of well-being . Summer or winter, lovers , family , friends or solo , here we take the time to think of ourselves , and just self. Rich in trace elements such as calcium, magnesium and sulphates, the hot water that springs from the sources of Bagnères-de-Bigorre has antalgic, relaxing and relaxing properties .

I go to the locker room to put on the soft bathrobe that was given to me at the reception. I enter the pleasantly warm thermal water (between 33 and 35 degrees) and I navigate between the different animations: hot tubs , counter currents , curtain of water and other massage jets .

Then I head to the Pool Relaxation , nestled in a subdued atmosphere . When immersing your ears, you will enjoy Jazz music played under water in the midst of hydromassage ; a moment of absolute relaxation ...

The hammam , next door, in its authentic decor with warm colors and geometric patterns, is composed of several vaulted rooms, which will make you, for a moment, travel to the traditions of the East . At the exit, a funny old style tap, delivers a delicious mint tea at will, enough to rehydrate after this detoxifying break .

Now go up the elevator to the terrace on the fourth floor. There, two traditional Finnish saunas await you on each side of a big wooden barrel filled with cold water. Outside, lie down for a few moments on one of the deck chairs on the large wooden terrace , and enjoy the singing birds and the breathtaking views of the Pyrenees , and all without any opposite. There is enough to let go to a nap ...

It's time for my custom massage . I go to the 2nd floor of the building by placing my magnetic bracelet in the place provided for this purpose in the elevator. Clémentine, a smiling girl, settles me in a quiet massage room , under a very soothing light .

To live the experience that suits you best, you will be able to choose the essential oils diffused , the pressure of the massage , and the parts of the body that you wish to privilege or avoid. I close my eyes and let myself go to a moment of pure relaxation ... When I reopen them an hour later, I feel like cotton. Clementine offers me a hot drink that I enjoy peacefully on a deckchair overlooking the large pool . Next time, I will try a duo treatment . Christmas is coming, it's a great gift idea for one of my loved ones! Whether it's a hot tub , a make-up between girlfriends or a moment of complicity mother-daughter , Aquensis has a relaxing package for every situation.
