OUR HISTORY
Liqueurs are first and foremost a family story...
In Cyril's family, his parents and grandparents were already making liqueurs for their personal consumption.
We perpetuated the tradition and decided to make it our business.
It is in Betchat in Ariège that the company Méfizot was established in 2021.
Méfizot means méfies toi in Occitan patois.OUR KNOW-HOW
A know-how which requires patience and passion.
We work with local fruits and plants such as chestnut, elderberry, verbena and mint but also with citrus and myrtle that we go directly to Corsica. Indeed we lived on this island where citrus fruits have a very particular flavor due to the proximity of the sea and the sunshine.
We do everything by hand, from picking to labeling the bottles.
The picking of our plants and fruits is done by ourselves or by local producers. These raw materials are carefully selected and are either untreated, wild picked or organically grown.
After the maceration in alcohol at 96 °, we set up the manufacturing process of our liqueurs. We have voluntarily lowered the sugar and alcohol content compared to traditional liqueurs to keep a maximum of flavors.
Our ideas to consume them: in digestive, in aperitif in kir and spritz, in pastry, in cooking.Alcohol abuse is dangerous for your health, consume in moderation
