Discover a small, natural and authentic campsite : Le Vieux Berger, a family story for over 40 years. Staying at Le Vieux Berger means sharing our friendly spirit and the life of Le Vieux Berger in all simplicity. But who is Le Vieux Berger?

You will be informed about the must-see visits of the city of Lourdes. A faithful representative of the Pyrenean tradition, Justin will be able to tell you about the history of the country and the countless escapades to be made in the surrounding area. The owners of the campsite offer mobile homes for rent and pitches available all year round.

NEW: Our campervan friends now have access to a campervan area accessible 24/7, all year round.

A green setting facing the Pyrenees

The Le Vieux Berger campsite offers you a very natural and preserved space in the city of Lourdes, a few km from TARBES and close to Argelès Gazost close to all shops and less than 2 km from the sanctuaries. From your spacious and shaded location, you can admire the Pyrenees mountain range.

Reception on the phone. We didn't see anyone. 28 euros for a pitch with 2 small tents and 2 bikes. 2-star services max. The numbers speak for themselves.

Don't come here. You pay as much as a 3-star hotel, and there are no services, just a pitch. The restrooms are very old, very humid and very hot inside (lack of ventilation), cobwebs. Toilets, sinks (not covered), and showers are all in the same place. When the light goes out, you have to get out of the shower to turn it back on!!!!!! And the switch is opposite the access door (people can see us from outside!!!!) 2 showers are available for the entire campsite. The light in the disabled restroom doesn't work. The only positive point is that the person who takes care of maintaining the restrooms does a very good job. If you want information, the reception is closed; you have to call them. It doesn't even deserve 2 stars. It's not quiet, there's a road in front of you and a train station next door. Not even a bar to quench your thirst. Be careful with one of the children's trampolines; the safety net is torn (a big hole). You have to pay in advance. I later saw that there was another campsite across the road, "Le Domec," a 2-star campsite that's practically half the price. Compared to the 3-star Camping de la Forêt where I stayed, it's a no-brainer. Swimming pool, restaurant, bar, grocery store, and a large, new toilet block where everything is separate. Much more shaded and much quieter. I paid €27.50 per day, the same as at Le Vieux Berger. Avoid Le Vieux Berger. On their website, there are several services offered; who are they kidding? I almost forgot, the manager lets her two dogs roam the campsite (even though dogs must be kept on a leash). I saw them urinating near a campervan (the campervan driver wasn't happy!!!!). Also, at one point, I was entering the campsite with my two small dogs on leashes, and at reception, her two dogs (one of which was a Malinois) charged at mine. I thought they were going to attack them. I yelled, and "Madame" came out from behind the hedge; she almost laughed. I was scared for my dogs. This isn't normal. When you're a campsite manager, you have to give...
