La Belle Verte, our favorite

Open since 10 years, and precursor of organic, La Belle Verte is an institution in Toulouse. The name, chosen in reference to the ecologist satire made by Coline Serreau in 1996, announces the color: here, no greenwashing, it is a committed cuisine found on its plate!

The products served are 100% organic and come mostly from partnerships with producers in the market of Saint Aubin, which takes place on Sunday close to the restaurant. These grow and transform their products especially for them! This is the case for example for beer, bread, or some vegetables. We can not be shorter as a circuit, are we?

A hearty plate full of healthy delicacies

Delphine, Charlie and the whole team of La Belle Verte will welcome you with a smile to their ears. Settle into the peaceful little courtyard at the back of the restaurant, perfect for recharging after the crowded market.

Belle Verte Brunch Menu

Delphine will show you the slate announcing the composition of the brunch, and explain everything in details. On the menu, that healthy, tasty and homemade things of course: hummus and baba ganoush, in a nod to the Lebanese origins of the boss, crispy oyster mushrooms (a slaughter), beet gazpacho, white beans with tomato sauce (for the traditional English touch), sheep tzatziki, herbed sweet potatoes, thin slices of local cheese, seasonal salad with sprouted seeds and applesauce, all served in a large, colorful plate, accompanied by freshly baked bread, d fresh fruit juice and a hot drink.

You have noticed that brunch is almost always vegetarian and very low in gluten. On request, the chef offers a vegan and / or entirely gluten-free version (even for bread, celiac friends, you will love!). The menu also varies with the seasons.

If time permits, enjoy the pretty terrace!

The brunch is very rich, La Belle Verte encourages you to take your leftovers to avoid food waste. And they even go to the end of their approach Zero Waste since they suggest to bring your own containers to avoid the use of plastic single use. If necessary, however, they offer returnable boxes (free), or as a last resort, not recorded for people passing through Toulouse. Strong values that are still too rare to see so proudly displayed by restaurateurs.
