    • This is the story of the passion of two men and the world-renowned wines they create at Domain Pichard, nestled at the foot of the Pyrenees, at the crossroads of Bigorre, Béarn and Gers in the southwest. from France.

Wine lovers and owners of Domain Pichard, Jean Sentilles and Rod Cork are brothers-in-law and enjoy the only estate in the Madiran where all the vines face south facing the Pyrenees in one piece. Our vintages are 3 to 20 years old.

“Their passion, their courage and their tenacity are found in each bottle of these organic wines, tasted and appreciated throughout the world”

The estate is entirely surrounded by magnificent oak trees and forests which provide natural barriers, thus protecting the vines and enhancing the biological processes necessary for production. The topsoil is composed of fine clays mixed with large stone pebbles shaped over time with quartz moulds, quartzites and Lydians which date back to the Quaternary era. This nature ensures optimal drainage while the grapes bask in the sun, retaining heat late into the cool evening. Irrigation is done naturally and comes from a set of natural water sources hidden in the vineyard. These are the optimal conditions necessary for the production of these powerful wines.

The estate is entirely organic ; in 2015, it officially received the French and European organic labels, three years after the start of the conversion process which began in 2012.

      OUR RED WINES:

The estate's red wines go best with duck, poultry, pork, game, wild boar, venison, red meat and fish.

      • TANNAT: The tannat grape variety has aromas of blackcurrant, red fruits, earth and minerality. The subtlety and extreme complexity of tannat are obtained by vinification in oak casks and barrels for 24 to 36 months after harvest.

      • CABERNET FRANC: Cabernet Franc enhances the unique flavor of Domain Pichard red wines. The Cabernet Franc draws its maturity from the south-facing slopes and develops a remarkable and elegant flavor. Cabernet Franc brings freshness and elegance, with aromas of dark chocolate, roasted coffee and eucalyptus. Cabernet Franc enhances the unique flavor of Domain Pichard red wines.

      OUR WHITE WINES:

The minerality and freshness of dry white Pacherenc are perfect for an aperitif or to accompany a dish of raw ham, a seafood platter, oysters and shellfish. Pacherenc du Vic Bilh, with its higher sugar content, usually accompanies a plate of foie gras, desserts, blue cheese or goat cheese.

      • PETIT MANSENG AND GROS MANSENG: The Domaine's white wines – Pacherenc du Vic Bilh – are produced from two grape varieties: Petit Manseng and Gros Manseng. The white grape varieties are grown in the coolest areas of the estate. The proportion of acidity, minerality, low sugar content and hints of exotic fruits make it possible to obtain a range of dry and mellow white wines that are both subtle and well balanced.

We welcome you all year round to the Domaine to make you taste our wines, but also to make you discover our cellar located 5 minutes from Madiran.

      Hope to meet you.

Domaine run by Rod Cork - great visionary of the nobility of the appellation - with a wide range of dramatically underestimated wines (especially in terms of prices!) not to be missed. Taking the time to taste it all on site is an unforgettable and enormously enriching experience. To put ambitious restaurants on the menus (from brasserie to Michelin-starred) to crown the choices of passionate wine merchants and to surprise your fellow amateurs. A 'must have' without the slightest doubt.
